The rearing of darts was transferred to the parent rearing group led by Korpiahon Hunaja oy in 2004. This change secured the bee breeding work started by Hartika and the preservation of the rearing method.
In addition to the rearing method, the inheritance of the mother stock in the form of breeding pens and mating nests was transferred. The change increased the production volume of beehives to meet the ever-increasing demand.
The parent breeding group brought a Chinese breed alongside the traditional Italian breed. This is only possible with separate breeding gardens of several breeders. The extensive wilderness areas of Eastern Finland provide an excellent framework for this. Parenting in the arctic conditions of northern Finland creates the basis for genuinely good winter hardiness.
The parent group has a common quality system that guarantees the similarity of the quality of the mothers within the group, regardless of the breeder. The quality system is part of Korpiaho’s ISO 9002 quality system.
We have started cooperating with a Slovenian professional breeder. Thanks to the cooperation, it will be possible for us to have mothers from the original area from May.
An Italian and Krainian breed is available.
We deliver the items as first class letter mail, separate from any other supplies orders. So actively monitor your mail after ordering.
