Bees produce propolis to disinfect their hives and to fill holes in the hive. Propolis, or putty wax, contains about 300 different compounds, depending on the plants from which it is collected. Bees collect propolis from the loops and damaged parts of plants, from which they remove resin and gummy substances. Propolis can be used both internally and externally. Propolis is antibacterial, so it is well suited for the treatment of inflammation, such as stomatitis, stomach ulcers, intestinal disorders and as an antioxidant.Topical application of propolis is done by dropping a couple of drops directly on the target, for example cold sores, pimples, warts, stumps, wounds, rashes, burns. Propolis can also be dropped into a few drops on a cotton swab or patch pad and then applied to the area to be treated, such as a wound. Internally, propolis can be used, for example, by dropping a few drops on a piece of sugar and sucking it, or by diluting it with water (0.5 dl of water, 3-10 drops of propolis). It can be used, for example, for toothache, abdominal pain, stomach ulcers, disinfection of the mouth and throat, i.e. sore throat, gingivitis and treatment of aphthous episodes. Note!
